Beautiful Beach Wedding Styles
July 14, 2011
Just like at any other location, you’ll want to infuse your celebration with your style and make it uniquely yours. But your beach wedding should still incorporate and not ignore the natural environment around you.
Beach Wedding Style
A Casual Beach Wedding: Let your hair down! Wear a long flowing dress, a loose linen shirt, or other comfortable summery clothes. Carry simple flowers or wear a Hawaiian Lei. Intimate ceremonies where the guests circle the couple for their vows – you can even ask everyone at your beach wedding to hold hands and surround you with love. Maybe invite the guests to par take in the sand ceremony if there is a small number of people. NO shoes!!!
A Formal Beach Wedding: Time your ceremony for sunset over the ocean, then head for the reception at a nearby restaurant or club. You’ll want to set up a floor and chairs for your guests’ comfort.
A Semi-Formal Beach Wedding: Could this be the best of both worlds? You can have relaxed intimacy and still have traditional and elegant touches. A beautifully decorated Arbor with planters of Sea grass to outline alter of sorts or maybe White Wave flags billowing as an Arbor or entry way at the beach entrance.
Consider the ages of your guests. Some may need a beach wheel chair or chair which can be rented locally, while waiting for the ceremony to begin. The typical ceremony last 20-30 min. Senior guests will most likely need chairs while waiting and maybe sun umbrellas. A chest of cool water if your Ceremony is during the summer will help guests stay cool and hydrated. The ceremony close to the reception will allow an easy transition for your guests. Maybe rent a trolley to transport your guests if the reception is more than 4 blocks away from the ceremony. There is very limited parking in Cape May.
